Maine Ulster Scots Saving and Sharing Maine's Scots-Irish Heritage
The Maine Ulster Scots Project (MUSP) brings Maine's Scottish and Scots-Irish heritage directly to Maine's classrooms. MUSP will tailor an interactive program for your school that will introduce your students to: Maine and America's Scottish and Scots-Irish history, Traditional Scottish music and dance, Traditional Scottish dress, bagpipes and fiddle, Scottish Highland games history and athletics competitions.
Our programs typically run for two standard consecutive class periods and can be tailored to work with single or combined classes, or with a full school auditorium.
Please contact John T. Mann at john@maineulsterscots.com for detailed information and scheduling.
Here are some pictures from recent school presentations and comments from students that have participated in our programs.
